At the bottom, the individual serial number is backed by vertically-engraved radial lines.

The serial numbers on these bars are inscribed inside of a rectangle at the bottom of the bar using a one-letter, six-number coding system. The serial number is backed by radial lines. The edges of the bar are smooth and the reverse face is left blank on purpose.
