Description

10 oz Asahi Gold Bar For Sale (New)

Asahi Refining might be the newest name in the international precious metals industry, but it operates from facilities that have been in use for centuries. After taking over the Johnson Matthey gold refining facilities, Asahi Refining quickly started producing its own gold bullion bars. Right now, the 10 oz Asahi Mint Gold Bar is available for purchase by investors.

Bar Highlights:

  • Latest product from Asahi Refining.
  • Contains 10 oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • Poured production.
  • Stamped markings.
  • Matte finish with a rustic appearance.

These 10 oz Asahi Mint Gold Bars are all produced using traditional refining processes. After the gold is heated to its melting point, it is poured into loaf-shaped molds and allowed to cool. The markings on these bars are stamped, not laser engraved, and give the bar an overall rustic appearance.

On the obverse face of each bar you’ll find the only markings used by Asahi Refining. The oval-shaped marking at the top of the bar includes “Asahi SLC” in an outer ring of the oval, while the bar’s .9999 purity is stamped into the middle of the oval. Just below this marking are the words “Fine Gold,” while the bottom of the bar has the weight marked as “10 Ounces.”

Asahi Refining came into existence in the global marketplace as a result of Johnson Matthey’s divestment from the silver and gold refining industry. Asahi is based in Japan, and its previous roots there stretch back to the 1950s. Prior to its purchase of Johnson Matthey’s production facilities, Asahi was more deeply involved in metal refining and recycling than the production of specific products.

Today, Asahi Refining owns three different facilities previously owned by Johnson Matthey. Facilities in Salt Lake City, Utah and two locations in Canada were sold to Asahi as part of Johnson Matthey’s divestment from the industry.

Asahi Refining is still boosting its production to introduce new products to the market. If you’re interested in this 10 oz Asahi Gold Bar, you may also be interested in their 100 oz Asahi Silver bar as an additional investment option.
