The popular Australian Koala coin series from the Perth Mint was first issued in 2007 as a complement to a range of high-quality bullion coins that already existed to celebrate the Kangaroo and the Kookaburra. Just as with those series, the iconic and cuddly koala would star in one-year–only designs issued in a range of different weights and contents, and this series would also become a fast favorite with investors.
