Each 2022 1 Kilo Australian Silver Lunar Tiger Coin offered here is a Brilliant Uncirculated specimen. Coins in this weight in the series come with protective plastic capsules for each coin. The 1 kilo coin does not have a mintage cap. However, Perth Mint will only strike the coins through the end of 2022 before retiring the design to move on to the next release of the Lunar Series III collection.

The 1 Kilo Silver Lunar Tiger coin is the second-largest coin in the series. With each silver bullion release in the Lunar Series III program, Perth Mint offers the designs on 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 2 oz, 5 oz, 1 Kilo, and 10 Kilo coins. The only coins with mintage caps are the 1 oz silver coin at 300,000 in total and the 10 Kilo coin at just 100 in total.

Obverse imagery on the 2022 Australian Silver Lunar Tiger Coins features Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in the sixthgeneration effigy to grace Australian coins during her reign. This design shows the Queen at the age of 89 in right-profile relief as she wears the George IV State Diadem Crown. This work of art comes from Jody Clark and was initially developed for the Royal Mint of England in 2015.

Reverse designs on the 2022 1 Kilo Silver Lunar Tiger Coins include a tiger family. In this case, we see an adult tiger leading its young cub along the rocky terrain of a jungle. While the cub playfully follows its parent, the parent is alert to any possible danger with its head up and eyes peeled.
