Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark Coins debuted in 2011. The series is produced on behalf of the Republic of Armenia by the German-based Geiger Edelmetalle minting company. The coins launched in 2011 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4 oz silver coins.

In 2012, the 1 Kilo silver coin joined the series alongside the 5 oz, 10 oz, and 5 Kilo coins. The 1 Kilo version of the coin has proven popular among the four larger weights, with its mintage figure coming in the highest among the group on two different occasions in the first several issues.

In the obverse design of 2023 1 Kilo Silver Noah’s Ark Coins, you will find the national coat of arms of Armenia. This design shows a quartered shield with heraldic lions and eagles in the quadrants, as well as a crest at the center with the image of Noah’s Ark on Mount Ararat. The field also includes a heraldic eagle and a heraldic lion supporting the shield.

For the reverse field, the 2023 Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark Coin comes with a depiction of Noah’s Ark. In this design, the famous boat from the Bible is shown floating on the calm flood waters as the sun rises over Mount Ararat in the background. In the foreground, a dove swoops in with an olive branch.
