The sixth release in the Tudor Beasts Series features the Seymour Panther, the preeminent heraldic beast associated with Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. King Henry VIII married Jane Seymour in 1536, shortly after the annulment of his marriage to Anne Boleyn. The couple wed at the Palace of Whitehall in London on May 30, 1536. Their marriage produced one child, Edward VI, who later became King of England.
The obverse of 2025 British Gold The Queen’s Panther Coins features a portrait of His Majesty King Charles III. This left-profile effigy of His Majesty was created in 2022 by Martin Jennings. This is the first-generation portrait of Charles III and depicts the king without a crown.
On the reverse of 2025 1 oz Gold Tudor Beasts The Queen’s Panther Coins, you’ll find a depiction of the Seymour Panther. Here, the panther is shown in a seated, left-profile relief as it supports a shield. On this shield you will find the combined arms of King Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, a symbol that underscores the powerful union formed in Henry VIII’s third marriage.
