On the obverse of 2025 Australian Gold Lunar Snakes is a bust of King Charles III. Designed in 2024 by Dan Thorne, this left-profile relief shows the King without a crown on his head. This is the first appearance of a monarch other than Elizabeth II.
The reverse side of the 2025 2 oz Gold Lunar Snake Coin comes with a depiction of a snake coiled around bamboo. The snake has snarled its body around several different shoots of the bamboo and there is foliage depicted overhead that offers the snake cover.
