The 2022 Maid Marian gold coin is 24-carat (or 999.9 purity) and contains exactly one ounce of gold. Just like other British currency, this coin will be also be exempt of any Capital Gains Tax.

The Royal Mint have announced that the final coin will feature Little John, concluding the miniseries of releases surrounding the fabled Robin Hood, but potentially opening up to future releases of other famous figures, such as Boudicca and Merlin. Only time will tell.
